Taiwan Trip 14 Oct 2008 Part 1

Last year on October 14 , I decided to go for a trip to Taiwan with Kate (gf) and her family. Even thou my financial was quiet tight at that time ,i was really excited as it was my first time going to Taiwan . I quickly went and did my passport. It was a 7 days trip and it was a tour arrange by Apple Tours . Total cost was around 2.5k if I am not mistaken..maybe less or more. First thing that came up my mind was.. food....taiwan sausage......

A week before the trip I went and bought all the necessarys , pack up my bag. Did some searching on the net about Taiwan . So as the week pass by , it was time for us to go to Taiwan . Yeay......

Day 1

At KLIA airport..the flight was China Airlines. Our flight was around 1.30pm
It was a four hour flight to Taiwan...The service that the cabin crew provided was not bad...but there is one steweardes who wasnt really friendly...maybe having bad mood or pms..Hahah
Anyway for that 4 hours I didnt sleep as I was busy playing games and watching movie that the plane provided.. So cool.....
Food served was good as well...

By the time we touch down at Taiwan Airport and taking our bags it was already around 7.00 pm . Put everything up the bus and off we go. The guide didnt waste our precious time and straight away brought us to the first destination which was an hour away from the airport....URghhh hungry.
Ok ...I dont remember the name of this location but is a small habour , mainly for fisherman and its also a tourist attraction area. One of the attraction was the bridge....Its was a very windy night......just feel so good.....

After spending around 45 minutes ..all of us went back to the bus....as everyone was hungry ..so the guide brought us to this place somewhere near from the previous location.

Ah.....food...yummy..... sausage was good... pork rice was good...but the fried oyster with egg was...emm..totaly diffrent from what we have here..
Over there it was a bit..or more likely to be over starchy ...glupp...

So we had our dinner...did some shoping..straight we went back to our hotel , shower...rest...and sleep. Cant wait for the next day .......

Day 2
6.30 am ....ringg..ringgg...this is your wake up call...urgh....not enough sleep...
For the next day we went to Yieliu Geopark. Yieliu is 1 1/2 hour drive from where we stayed.
Yehliu is located in the north coast of Taiwan , famous for its unique shaped rocks formed by sea erosion . The main attraction was the naturally formed Queen's head..But as years passed by the diameter of the Queen's neck is getting smaller and smaller because of erosion . No one can guranttee or predict how long it will last...

A random snapshot ..which turnout not bad at all :) ..heheh
The next destination ..... Jishan Street......

Some of the food that I ate...

On the same day itself we went to Taipei 101....is so so so tall...

Cutting it short...At night we went eating again.
This time the dinner was superb. Name of restaurant Din Tai Fung. Its is famous for its dumplings. Located in the corner of Taipei City Yungkang . One wouldnt expect a famous restaurant would be located here. The main course are dimsum..or also know as " hsiaolungpao".
It is filled with minced pork and other variety of meat , but in the same time it is filled with delicious and tastey soup.
When you bite it...you can slurp it as well...ah.... I still can remember how the meat and the soup just blends together in my mouth....ah......

The food just keep coming.... They have a list of variety that one can choose if they eat there.
Knowing the history of Din Tai Fung , it is amazing how they can be famous ( top 10 award for best restaurant given by New York Times ) even without advertising.
Owh yah..1 more thing all of the workers( waitress ) working here are ladies...beautiful.....
Day 3.
In the morning we went to the tomato farm . Lots of diffrent types and sizes of tomato..quiet intresting....in the same time boring ... Then in the afternoon we went to ceramic town. Main attraction for this location is , Ceramic products.

The enterance to the town

Huge vases.....
Well....there are more to come , but I need to rest...being faceing the computer for hous....so just wait for the part 2 which will be coming......soon..If i got the time....Goodnight.....
