Italiannies The Gardens , Midvalley K.L

My first time in Italiannies . Yea.....this is my first time at Italiannies . I usually dont carve for Italian food , normally its just pizza pizza and pizza. But not this time , I wanted to try something diffrent . With a hungry and roaring tummy after a day in Megakidz , I went to Italiannies in The Gardens , as the old wing does not have one.

After taking our order , the waiter came back and we were welcomed by the waiter with these :-
Is a complementary starter meal by Italiannies .

Olive oil with balsamic vineger to be dipped with the freshly baked bread

Salad....yummyy...

And this is what I ordered . Salmon Fettuccine
Seriously its a huge portion..
With fresh slices of tomato, grated parmessan cheese and fresh salmon mixed with heavy cream sauce , it tasted so good. The tastes just mix and melt in your mouth......

A scenery of shining sunshine ray above TM tower which I took while eating my fettuccine.

A day with the kids in Megakidz, Midvalley

Located at the 3rd floor North Court in MidValley Megamall , Kuala Lumpur lies on of the biggest playground offered by shopping mall which is around 27'000 sq.ft the " Megakidz ".
A home for fun and education , Megakids offers a safe and secure enviroment for your kids to play around with . And the best part is , its free for adults.

Megakidz is cater for children between age 2-16 years old with a minimum enterence fee of rm 19 perhead ( Monday to Friday ) , while rm 24 for saturday , sundays and public holidays . So without wasting time and hesitation , I went to explore Megakidz my self ....

Below are some of the pictures I took :-

Anyone up for a game of Tic Tac Toe ?

A view inside one of the tunnel.
The kids. Pao Pao , Adam , Anson and Ada.

I call this one the slide of the " life time " . Seriously its not easy to climb all the way up there. Thumbs up for the kids. The momment i reach up there and back down ...I felt the dizziness in me. Phew .....
They also have a game room for the children to play with ...PS2.....Omg.. Kids these days are surely luckly.. I wish I have these to play last time.

Heli Kop Ta..

Megakidz also offer rooms to celebrate birthday party . If your intrested in celebrating your birthday there just give them a call and they will hook you up with a clown ..HEheHEH .

After hours of fun and joy and tiredness . We all went to the cafe..Uh la la ......Fish n chips , nugget , fries , hotdog with egg and bread. Well i got to say the price for the food is quite reasonable but not for the drinks.

Pictures of the kids with their meal.. heheh . In the end of the day , I was super exhausted but not the kids....oh man..i am getting old..Hahah .

Malawati Hill , Kuala Selangor

Malawati Hill or also known as Bukit Malawati is located in Kuala Selangor, about 45 to 60 minutes drive away from Kuala Lumpur. If you are planning to go to Kuala Selangor to see the fireflies in Kampung Kuantan or Firefly Park, drop by this historical hill and spend an hour or so here before going for seafood dinner at Pasir Penambang.

The fortress on this hill was built in late 18th Century to defend Selangor from the attack of the enemies. The high ground provided a vantage point of view to monitor the ships that passed by the Straits of Malacca. This hill was captured by the Dutch and renamed Fortress Altingsburg, the name of the Dutch Governor General at that time. The Civil War that occurred from 1867 to 1873 due to the struggle for tin mines had destroyed this fortress which was later taken over by the British.

What remains of the fortress today are some cannons, foundation stones, Poisoned Well and colonial houses. Other attractions at Malawati Hill include a light house, a royal mausoleum, a viewing tower, a museum, 200-year-old angsana trees and the monkeys. Taken from : malaysianvacationguide.com

Princess Ada and Sir Adam . Owh ya...for those for are lazy...like me...you can take the tram / train / bus ride. RM 2 for adults and RM 1 for children . My advice..if you want to take the tram....get the back sit..as the front will be smoky and smell because of the vehicle exhaust fume.

A tree full of ......monkeys....not leaf....

Caught this one taking a nap on a piece of metal bar...impresive..

Ooooo.....Ops

A silver leaf monkey with its offspring. As you can see, in the young stage , the silver leaf monkey will be in golden / orange in colour . Once they become adult the fur coats will turn dark in colour and a bit white.

You can see all these monkey at one of the stops on top of Malawati Hill. Very friendly monkeys and you can feed them to. But be very carefull with your belongings as they might grab it from you thinking that is food.

You can buy long beans or fruits from the " Pak Cik " and feed it to the monkeys as well.

Beside this there are 11 more attraction spots:-

1 . Bed rock
2. A place for sighting the new moon
3. Dutch hill
4. Virgin's burial
5. Royal burial ground
6. Seven wells
7. Malawati mount
8. Penggawa cannon
9. Malawati forest
10. The hundred steps
11. Poisoned well

What are all of those above..I dont know, as i didnt not have much time to visit those location. Its best that you experience it yourself.

Getting To Malawati Hill

If you are driving and are coming from Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya, take the NKVE and exit at Sungei Buluh toll plaza. Follow the trunk road towards the direction of Kuala Selangor. As you reach the town, look for the signage Bukit Malawati. Follow the direction and you will not miss this place. The drive will take you approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Thats all for today folks..have a good day and buhbyee

Chearting , Pahang , Malaysia

Christmas was coming by , I did not have any plans. Eventually something came up my mind " Cherating " . So we packed our bags , and head to Cherating at 5.30pm in the evening on Friday ( 26/12/08 ). We ( Dad , Mom ,Me n Gf ) arrived at Cherating ' Ruby Resort around 8.30 pm. Didn't do much , just had my dinner , went back to the room... shower , unpack some stuff...and straight to bed.

This picture was taken around 6.30 - 7.00 pm . Nice sunset take at the R&R.

As for the next day , I took a drive down to Teluk Cempedak . For those who don't know where Teluk Cempedak ( T.C ) is , Teluk Cempedak in English is also known as Jackfruit Bay .Its a famous beach in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.

Teluk Cempedak is located 5 kilometres east from the town centre in Kuantan and is situated in close proximity to the Royal Pahang Golf Club. The white sandy beach and the beautiful casuarinas and pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the incessant waves of the South China Sea.

Below are some pictures to view.

For those who are intrested in jungle trekking or a short hike..well this a place for you to visit. Watch and observe the diversity of trees lining the forest and watch out for the assorted varieties of birds, insects, iguanas , squirrels and monkeys there.

Note *Just remember to bring your insect repellent . Hey , the best part is..now they have McDonald's there. Well I don't exactly know how long its been there , as its been ages since my last visit to T.C. After snapping some pictures..off I leave to Kuantan Town , to get Bah Kut Teh..yummy... :)

Pictures taken at Ruby Resort

For a five minutes drive from Ruby Resort , you will be able to pay a visit to Cherating Turtle Sanctuary is located just beside Asia's first Club Med in Cherating, Pahang. This centre was established in the year 1972 as a turtle hatchery in an effort to protect the endanger species in particular the Leatherback Turtle. It was opened to the public in June, 1 1998. Situated at the Chendor Beach or Pantai Chendor, this centre helps to ensure the survival of the turtles that land here to lay eggs during the months from April to August .

Admission fee is Rm 0.00 ( Free )

We were lucky this time , as we met Tuan Haji the owner and caretaker of this turtle sanctuary . He reserved some fishes for us to feed the turtle.
It's feeding time .......

Bukit Tabur Aka Klang Gates

Bukit Tabur is located in the District of Gombak in Selangor. It is also localy known as Bukit Hangus. The hill is very prominent and could be seen from the Middle Ring Road 2 travelling from Seri Gombak to Ampang. The hill could be access through Taman Melawati by following the Genting Klang Road which will lead to the Klang Gate Dam.

The hill, which is less than 1000 meters, is a quartz/limestone combination formation. Climbers enter the hiking trail via Kampung Klang Gates, 50 meters from the gates of the Klang Gates Dam, at the back of Taman Melawati for a quick 3-4 hours climb. The Gombak Forest Reserve and Klang Gates Dam are beside the hill. The peak offers spectacular view of the
dam.

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

The KL Bird Park was set up in 1991 and was officially opened by The DYMM Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Bainun.

Located in the serene and scenic Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, it is only 10 minutes drive away from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. It is the home to more than 2,000 birds of approximately 200 species of local and foreign birds.

Sprawling approximately 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain, the park is divided into 4 zones; Zone 1 and 2 make up the free-flight zone; Zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and Zone 4 is where the birds are placed in separate cages and mini aviaries.

Here are some of the pictures I took while in bird park :-
